Dan Mayo

Always annoying his parents by taking things apart as a child, Dan is one of life's natural engineers. Luckily, he now knows how to put things back together again!

This inquisitiveness has drawn him towards innovation in his professional life, via high-performance cars, motorsport and the evolving world of electric vehicles.

Dan became Audi UK’s youngest-ever Master Technician at the age of 22 at Audi West London – responsible for the most complex diagnostics and repairs and the technical supervision of the other technicians in the dealership.

After a similar role with Porsche, Dan set-up MMS Technik in 2011.

Along the way, Dan has gained wide experience in Motorsport - building, preparing and servicing many rally cars, as well as competing himself as both navigator and driver. Latterly, he was a member of the Northgate/Handy Motorsport Toyota and, subsequently, Alfa Romeo team in the British Touring Car Championship for Rob Austin.

Always at the forefront of vehicular innovation, Dan qualified to work on electric vehicles back in 2017. He now has significant experience with all makes of EV and provides training for a number of major manufacturers in the UK for their own technicians’ EV accreditation – Honda UK, Jaguar Land Rover and Aston Martin to name a few.

Dan has undertaken projects such as classic car 'restomods' and installations for car manufacturers - e.g. building constantly running electric car exhibits at trade shows.

He also provides advanced diagnostics expertise to local garages when they have not been able to identify the cause of an underlying fault themselves.
